Marty Clay leads CJ Hughes’s in-house Traffic Control division — a capability that sets the company apart from nearly every competitor in the pipeline construction industry. By self-performing traffic control, CJ Hughes maintains single-contractor accountability across the full project site, improving coordination, safety, and responsiveness on urban and roadway-adjacent construction projects.

Marty’s team manages maintenance-of-traffic (MOT) planning, flagger deployment, lane closures, barrier and signage installation, and coordination with municipal and state transportation authorities across CJ Hughes’s multi-state operating territory. By popular demand, over the years our reputation for reliability and quality has led to flagging for many different customers where Marty manages over 80 employees across states like OH, WV, KY, TN, VA, PA, IN, LA, NY.
